There are some things in life that you never plan for. Should a happily married man of 20 years plan for a single life looking after three children and a dog? I certainly didn’t.
Living in a “traditional” family environment, away at work 12 hours a day, having a part time working wife, I have rarely cooked, cleaned or shopped and suddenly I am now discovering what it is all about.
This is my journey. I expect it will be a rich and rewarding learning experience and in sharing my discoveries I hope to provide some useful information for single dads (or mums) everywhere.
Well the good news is that two of the children are at university and live away from home for 33 weeks a year; thus I really only have my teenage son and the dog to keep me company. More about all of that some time in the future no doubt.
